Mold and Air Quality
MOLD IS UBIQUITOUS. It can be found everywhere on earth. More than 250,000 species are found in nature, but only 20% of them have been identified and studied. It is estimated by several government and private health agencies that up to 18% of the general population is adversely affected by airborne mold spores and the poor air quality they propagate. It is also estimated that 80% of all asthmatics are adversely affected by airborne fungal spores.
The liability, due to mold exposure, for those who own and operate public and private facilities has become blatantly apparent. With lawsuits exceeding $50 million dollars the business community and the private sector have taken notice. TCG works with companies and facility owners to identify, manage, and eliminate mold liability and the health risks they pose.
TCG utilizes state of Florida licensed Mold Assessors, Professional Engineers, and IAQA/AIHA accredited microbial laboratories to support its inspections and assessments. TCG takes a forensic scientific approach to identify toxic mold, also referred to as black mold, and to help eliminate mold contamination and the conditions that allow poor air quality to persist. TCG utilizes infra-red diagnostics, a special technology that detects moisture content, in order to document the extent of water damage and intrusion in building substrates.
